Thanks For The Updates!

I know this has been said before, but it really needs to be understood. These routine updates we receive from Cakewalk now are tremendously welcome!! With the implementation of a reversible update process, and the bug fixes that can come quickly, I believe this was a huge win for us and Cakewalk.

Inherently, it reduces the need to fully test every ounce of the software for every patch, since it's much easier now to control how many updates are deployed in each build. I cannot stress enough how valuable it is to push minor updates more often, than major updates every once in a while. I'm very critical of good testing, and I still wish to see lists of, not necessarily recommended winner/loser lists of hardware supported, but a list recommendations used in testing.  For example, specific video cards which are tested by CW would be good to know.

I also love the centralized historical revision info for each release. Even with tabs. A welcome thing! Another welcome idea is to show what features are coming soon or in development.

Although I'm not keen on the names of these updates aside from the usefulness that they are starkly different names, I can quickly pass that up with the success of everything else.

Well done, CW!!

Brian

I doubt cakewalk have time to test on specific hardware other than their own. Reallly when it comes to hardware it's down to us to supply feedback. If there is a specific issue with hardware Cakewalk is very unlikely to be able to fix it (unless a specific cakewalk bug is effecting all hardware) , it's generally up to the hardware manufacturer.
