Thanks to Bill Jackson [Cakewalk]

I'm not sure I've noticed his name on these forums before the release of X2, but he's doing an excellent job of being here and reassuring everyone that the little bugs and quirks we discover are being worked on!

Thanks!

Aw shucks :)  Thank you for the recognition (*sends link to boss).  I usually work behind the scenes...  But I'm extremely excited about this launch and I wanted to help keep everyone's transition comfortable.  I definitely like it here and will be hanging out a lot more often.

Yeah... I've only seen Bill around a few times before this weekend but he's really rockin' the Casbah. Give this man a raise.

That's a +1 from me as well Bill.

I think that the fact that so many CW staff post on these forums is a great plus point for Sonar in general, it's really helpful getting facts straight from the horses mouth, if you'll pardon the expression.

If you could just slow your posting down a little though, you're posting quicker than I can and my post count is suffering...

Yeah Bill, a thank you from me also. You were on some of these posts like white on rice. People really appreciate that...and your way of handling things when people are a little heated has been awesome as well. :) The other DAW users would kill to have support like this from you and the other bakers. Can ya fight to get our colors back? LOL! Just kiddin'! But hey, if it's a possibility...... :)

    Thanks, Bill.

X2 Producer upgraded from X1 Producer Expanded was a breeze. I have not had any problems, or crashes so far.

I found a few small glitches here and there, but it is probably learning curve.

@Danny... Never mind other DAW users, ANY major software application out there gets put to shame by these guys. I said it earlier today... the reputation this forum and Cake support has was a major deciding factor for my purchase. Doesn't hurt they put out a pretty darned slick product for a ridiculous price. Cheers.

funny thing...i have since moved on to working mostly in Studio One....BUT....i still participate often in the forums here. I am even about to purchase the X2 upgrade from expanded. Why? because i sincerely appreciate seeing the cake staff in here so often, and i want to support that kind of customer service. Gonna run X2 thru the paces

Good thread, as a matter of fact I just logged on to start a thread saying the same thing. Seriously, not making that up.

Bill, if you've kept up on the forums you'll know I and a handful of others have had major problems with Pro Channel stability. It seems to be on different systems, and not repeatable on command, which I understand makes it extremely hard to fix.

I noticed that you recognized that people are having a problem and Cakewalk recognizes it as legitimate. That's all I've ever wanted to hear. Right or wrong, up till now, I've gotten the impression that the attitude was, "If we can't duplicate it, you're on your own.". I feel like that has changed now and I want to sincerely thank you.

I recently moved and have access to high speed internet access now, so when I run in to problems, I'll be able to send you guys the entire project including audio now and hopefully instead of just sitting here complaining all the time, I can help pin this down and turn this in to something positive.

I got X2 downloaded on my laptop, but unfortunately my DAW is still packed at the wrong end of a 28 foot moving trailer  so I won't be able to install it until late next week. I'm going to completely wipe my system, reinstall Win 7 and do all Microsoft updates, and do a fresh install of X2 and go from there.

    Again, thanks Bill.

    Sincerely,

    Bub.

Dear Bub, Champion of Prochannel Problems: When you get X2 fired up, don't try using the Console emulation until they've fixed it in a patch...

Hi Sven, long time no see. :)

I figured there'd be a hiccup or two with the brand new stuff, so I won't get the ax twisted in my head too deep over the Console Emu. :)
