Thanks to Daryl (IIRC)....
I ordered "Here There and Everywhere" by Geoff Emmerick. It shipped today. I'm looking forward to reading that one.

" Ah, but Emerick doesn't like poor Ringo, either. Makes him out to be a shoddy drummer and a blithering idiot who reads comic books and plays checkers because... well, that's his level of intellect." LOL! Hey! What's wrong with Checkers! He was a good dog IIRC.

I'm enjoying so far. Ol' Geoff does seem to take a shine to Paul.

Chronologically I'm past the recording of Abbey Road. Interesting read. Most fans know the broad strokes but Geoff fills in the details. Some of those details are sad for me.

I do know what you mean. Being a big fan (like you), I put them all on a pedestal. He definitely favours Paul throughout the book. Great stuff from a musician's/recording engineer's perspective though.

It's nice to know I can take 10,12 or 20 hours to record a bass part and "be like Paul".
