That's some great architecture right there
Have a friend in upstate New York who buys flip houses and renovates them. You see some stuff of the "what the hell were they thinking" variety. To wit:
JamesWindows 10, Sonar SPlat (64-bit), Intel i7-4930K, 32GB RAM, RME Babyface, AKAI MPK Mini, Roland A-800 Pro, Focusrite VRM Box, Komplete 10 Ultimate, 2012 American Telecaster!

He can convert the 3rd or 4th step to a landing platform and continue the tread at a right angle down to the floor.

I've noticed a lot of recently built hotels have paper roll dispensers that are placed right where my knee goes. I end up sitting sideways and wondering "why oh why?".

I've noticed that, too, Mike. Once upon a time--I think it was 1990--I took a trip to Austraia. The last night of the trip, I stayed at an expensive hotel in Sydney. It had the worst design I've ever seen. It had two beds and one was barely a foot away from the wall where the closet was. The TV was mounted on a bracket at the corner of said wall causing you to do a limboesque move to get to the closet. The bathroom was just as bad. The sink was almost behind the toilet. This was particularly awkward when trying to shave! I had to lean to my left and forward to get over the sink. The toilet didn't have a problem with the TP location. Instead, it was so close to the glass shower door that you had to find that sideways seating position, too. That was, by far, the least comfortable hotel I stayed in during that trip. It was a surprise, because it was probably the most expensive. I stayed in "mom & pop" hotels in the middle of nowhere that were much better the than that one at a fraction of the price.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys? X2(X3 pending hardware upgrade), Emulator X2, E-mu 1212M, Virtual String Machine

I think that's the only solution!

paulo I think I know his plumber......
This guy though, thought it through........

Whoever designed round toilet seats was either a woman or they never tried one out to see how it worked... or maybe the toilet was designed and the seat was an afterthought. I do know I love the newer oval seats and I am not a big guy by any means, I weighed in at 119 pounds when I was 18. 175 these days. My parents house has those old round seats and I have often wondered how someone who is portly or even "big boned" manages to sit on them without... how do I put this .... hmmm... er, what do they do with their junk? Sorry, bad architecture! Good architecture: The 2022 World Cup Soccer facility to be built in Qutar. designed by Albert Speer Jr. Really... J
Sonar Platinum Studiocat Pro 16G RAM (some bells and whistles) HP Pavilion dm4 1165-dx (i5)-8G RAM Octa-Capture KRK Rokit-8s MIDI keyboards... Control Pad mics. I HATE THIS CMPUTER KEYBARD!

gotta move that light switch for the stairs up about 3 feet or so as well.... looks like it will be about 6" above the floor level on that 4th step landing.
