That's it M-AUdio Fast Track Ultra, you've crashed my computer for the last time

Since I've upgraded to Windows 7 64, this damn device has crashed my computer relentlessly.  I'm on the hunt for a new interface and the Roland Capture series sure looks nice!

I have an MAudio Fastrack Ultra 8R and it works fine on Win 7 64 bit and even Win 8 64 bit.    However, it is my backup interface, my primary is a Roland Octa-Caputure.

Assuming you have the correct (latest) driver, either the MAudio unit is defective, the USB cable is defective or some problem with the PC.   As you state "upgraded to Win 7 64 bit", was the upgrade completed correctly with all correct drivers?  Is the PC even supported by the PC vendor (or motherboard vendor) for Win 7 64 bit?

I hate my M-Audio Fast Track Pro.
I have it back in the box after about 3 months of fighting it.

Check out the Focusrite Scarlett series. I went with the 18i6 and once I got the Mix Control under my brain a little it's been smooth sailing.

Also comes with some good plug-ins too.
