The 12th and final month of the year - December
As the nights grow longer and the days become grey and dark a little melancholy settles over us. As the month draws to a close we start to think of our family and friends. This manifests in a frenzy of activity which ends with a quick resolution and collapse before we prepare for what the next trip around the star we call Sol brings. December - Thanks for listening.

nice wookie! where did you get the piano sound?
man, those bells are very prominant, frequency wise.... maybe a bit hot in the mix, just cuz they are so piercing...... but what a great sound. i like the sustain on them.... reminds me of playing handbells in choir at church when i was a lad.....

Ahh, the bells. I like them, too, though I also think they're a bit prominent in the mix. I'm wishing for more dynamics overall, as well. Maybe some volume swells on the runs, or some volume changes throughout? All in all, you've captured December in my part of the globe quite well. I'm just starting to get used to it ;)

I think that you have done a great job in capturing the sounds of winter and the sounds and feelings of the holiday season. To me the bells not only remind me of icicles but of the bells of Christmas. I appreciate the way that you think out what you are trying to present in a song. Well done!

I too felt bifurcated. Happy or sad? It's right there between the icicles and the christmas bells like freddy said. That's what winter is to me, binary; just extremes, no middle ground. Holidays have always been more spooky and wacky than comforting with the feelings of togetherness. If I had my druthers, I'd be in palm springs and forget this dreariness in the PAC NW.

Nice job! I do agree about the bells being a little hot. I listened with ear buds. I'm sort into that cool whirlly organ sound with the evil chords countering the bells. Nice!

Thank you Bat, Bells to hot noted, I was a little unsure about them but a simple fix. The Piano sound is from Korg's Wavestation with a little tweak to bring up one of the underlying sounds.

You made a high quality song again. Also I like how you are able to express your ideas by writing words. Possibly you could add some Christmasy sleigh bell sounds in one or two places but it might not work as your production already sounds complete. But I do like that sound. Also all the Instrument sounds you used were fab.

Nice recording and tune, captures the season well. I like the use of bass as a subtle way to carry the tune along. Almost has a JMJ feel to that sound. Interested in seeing what theme you will pick up next year!

Thanks for having a listen Hello ItzMe and leaving a comment. Next year well it is funny that you mentioned JMJ as that nice man in a red suit from the slowly diminishing frozen north, did bring me an early present of Softubes Modular. Which now means I have as many Modular Synths as my systems can cope with plus Arturia's Moog Modular, the ARP 2006 Semi Modular and all the other nice old analogue synths from the V 5 collection. Now hopefully that nice man in the red suit will also drop in to my furry stocking the following additions to the Softube Modular, the Intellijel Rubicon, the Intellijel Korgasmatron II and possibly the Intellijel µFold II. Then next years theme may just consist of me disappearing up my ........... in a maze of interconnecting virtual cables. Unless someone has polite suggestion?
