I, for one, do not give a rat's butt about Pro Tools. I proudly use Sonar 5 Producer Edition in all of my productions. I have a friend that has a full blown Pro Tools setup and the results I get are better than his. The difference, he spent over $15,000 for his setup and I spent under $3000 for mine. He has Macs that crash ALL THE TIME. My home-built PCs RARELY CRASH. I use vst's and vsti's on just about every track and if I need to use track freezing, it works perfectly and effortlessly. He is always complaining about this and that. I especially hate it when a client comes in asking if we have pro tools and yet they are not savvy enough to email someone - and yet they are asking about "Pro Tools". It's all about branding at this point - like Xerox, McDonalds and Corn Flakes. It certainly does not mean it is better. It's not. Funny thing is, those same clients come out of our studio realizing that Pro Tools is just not necessary any longer. LONG LIVE SONAR! Mike aka Karmacomposer

A musician walks into a bar, sits down and orders a light beer. His producer then walks in, sits down and orders a dry martini. Next their sound engineer walks into the bar and orders the dinner special, to go. The Musician asks, "Aren't you going to stay and have a few drinks with us?" The producer adds in, "Yes, stay and have a few drinks!" The engineer replies, "Nah, someone has to get back to the studio and make you two look good!" Post count haha

What's the difference between a trombone player and a pizza? A pizza can feed a family of four.
