The Bapu before he was The Bapu

Advance to 8:56 and watch until 9:52. See the tall dude in the white T-Shirt on stage playing bass? That's me.

It's not my video, but Ron (our drummer then, and recent collaborator) called me to tell me that the guitar player on the left told him about the video. None of us knew whoever it was that filmed us back then. The music is something that poster of the video added. That audio is not us.

We played Venice Beach in 1970/1971 before Venice Beach became a tourist trap.

We played that "outdoor Pavillion" nearly every weekend for two whole summers. Before that no bands ever played there.

Our band name was Star Spangled Grahampa.

I added the following to the OP for clarity.

"The music is something that poster of the video added. That audio is not us."

Well it was 1971... they were still the "in" thing then.

In my software days, around  1979/1980 I actually had a dinner with the CEO of Acoustic, Steve Marks, to discuss his company acquiring the manufacturing/accounting software we developed and sold. I was the technical guy in our company and my boss felt that I could speak Steve's language.

He was an interesting guy to say the least.
