Ruben, stevec, and jude77...  glad you liked it!  It was a challenge doing the vocs for this, but lots of fun, and that's what it's all about when recording, having fun and doing something you enjoy.  Comments much appreciated.

Lovely! Close to the original. One thing noticed, when the frase "Happy birthday to you" comes in. I am sure this was McCartney's wit to sing these words in major (not in "bluesy" minor...) because it includes exact the same tones as the old birthday-song. That's really charming and brilliant musical humour. Anyway, very well done! Grats.

Nice cover! Did a good job capturing the original. Wide vocals work on this, whereas I'm not sure they work on your other cover (Bittersweet Symphony)...

dcumpian... thanks for the kind words Dan.  You have a good point on the wide vocs on Bitter Sweet Symphony.  I wasn't sure either, just experimenting.  Will fix though eventually.

Not much I can say about that seems a pretty good cover and mix, not sure I like the really wide vox though.

Wooks and MakeShift...  thanks for the good word, much appreciated.

Wooks... if you listen to the original Beatle version, the vocs are very wide on it.  That's where I got the idea for the wide vocs to make it sound similar to the original.  I do agree though the wide vocs aren't cutting it on the Verve tune Bitter Sweet Symphony.  Thanks again for commenting you guys.

rebel007...  Ok I recorded the vocs in stereo, not the norm, but it worked for this song.  Double tracked left & right voc tracks, sometimes tripled.  Added some high end EQ on them, actually I added the EQ destructively right into the voc tracks, another no no.  I didn't use any real time effects on the vocs.  Same with the backround vocs, I do 'em all.  Thanks for listening.

Oooh boy, another Beatles cover today...

Ok, not bad.  Vocal sound was good, the guitar sound was great, the mixing was nicely done.

Now for the critique...the vocals are not nailing the melody sharp enough, your transition notes just aren't quite there, to me.  The guitar break, where the drums stop after the interlude, are not right.  Need to revisit those notes, in my mind, and find the riff.  Lastly, the drums need some realism added because they sound like a machine.  Not being an ass, I have the same problem so I sympathize.

I still cranked it up man.  I enjoyed it.

I think the vocals are not quite there and the drums are a little "wimpy"
