The Beta test
Here is a new little tune I knocked up in the last couple of days. @soundcloud Experimental-3 Or @soundclick Experimental 3 For those interested. Recorded in SONAR X1e using just four instances of Arturia's Moog Modula V. MP3 conversion using Sound Forge. All comments etc welcome, thanks in advance for listening.

Bub: Thank you and thank you. Herb: Thanks for listening. I have had the Moog since its release I just wanted to try to see if I could use multiple instances. I think it peaked out at an average of about 15% per CPU (Q6600) including the PRO channels and reverb. Miguel: Thanks for the listen and it is yes a wonderful toy, oh for a real one and the space to play.

Hi Wookiee. Both versions are well done. I don't have a particular reason to say why I got the impression, but the soundclick version sounds slightly more polished. Not that the other sounds unpolished. Thanks for sharing.

This is really nice Wookie, reminds me of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and the TV theme tunes they produced in the '70s.

Old55: Thanks for the listen, interesting hat you detect a difference between Soundclick and Soundcloud as it should be the same MP3 Karyn: Thank you, the BBC's radio phonic workshop fascinated me as a child. They did a tour once and I got a chance to hear them demonstrate how they did their thing. They used their own sound system which consisted of three Hi Fi Spender BBC monitors, they filled the auditorium with sound.

Impressive. Your synths always sound pristine but never thin. I also think that has far more to do with the Wookiee than the gear. A nice arrangement too. And hey this is just the Beta...

Jonbouy: Thank you for the listen and the complement re my synth sounds, though this Wookiee is now not as fat as he was some two months ago. (about 35lbs thiner) Mike: Many thanks I was aiming for the Ulean pipe sound with perhaps a very vague hint of fiddle. Terry: Thanks I am glad you liked. As to the test it showed I could run multiple instances of the Moog which as of Sonar 6 through to 8 I struggled to run one instance. Thanks all who gave it a look and perhaps a listen.

Definitely getting a "Tangs" vibe from this, especially when the sequencer part comes in. I also agree with the Radiophonic workshop comparrisons as well, which is no bad thing. I think some sort of washed pad sound in parts would sound good, but still nice as it is. Enjoyed it John.

Wookie: nice jobs on this...almost sounded like electronic bagpipes at times to me. Dug the idea and major sounding vibe it went with later in the song. Nice flavors in this...would have sounded really cool if you added some drums later on...but I'll take what ya gave me. :) Successful beta test in my opinion. :) -Danny
