    Welcome to the forum! New users cannot right away put links in their posts and also must post 5 times before it works. It is this way to minimize spamming.

    In the other forums there might be a problem with spamming. It is better this way I think.

    Much better, actually.
    Before this was implemented, the forums were being heavily targeted by bots. That has been effectively eliminated.
    As a new user, you do need to make 25 posts before you can post a link.
    This gives you plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get acquainted. And a little incentive to become an active member here.
    Listen to a few songs, and post comments. It won't take long to reach 25.

    I remember making only 5 posts before I was able to put links into my posts. Also iirc one must be a member for 3 days before link posting.
