The Early Access Program is Now Live for the Upcoming Release of SONAR 2017.01

The new features for this release are as follows:
 

• MIDI Note Event Chase on Play
  • SONAR now supports MIDI note event chase on playback. This is enabled by default and can be toggled in MIDI tab of the Project category in the Preferences.
• Matrix View Enhancements
  • Step Sequencer cells are now editable, as are groove clipped audio cells via the Loop Construction View. This should work during playback.
• Fixes:

• Step Sequencer doesn't scroll as expected after expanding row
• Existing VST2 plugins in Plug-in Manager's folder tree look as if they are grayed out
• Synth Rack Collapses After Adding Synth with "Open These Windows: Synth Rack View" enabled
• Track templates expand/open Inspector
• Can't split an audio clip up to a certain measure in the project
• Distorted Playback in WASAPI Driver Mode with Dynamic Arming Enabled
• Patch Point is adding 6dB of gain
• Unable to add Marker from Control Surface
• Opening Staff View in Normal project template crashes SONAR
• Empty SS cells in matrix do not update in duration
• No Undo for Delete of Empty Matrix Row

• Cakewalk Command Center under the Rollback menu. Steps:
  • Start Command Center
  • Click the Settings button
  • Click the Check Now button
  • In the Connected Products list, right-click on the product or suite name you want early access to
  • Choose Rollback > Early Access 2017.01 from the context menu
• Through your products download page.  Steps:
  • Under "Available Downloads."
  • Click the "Show Other Downloads" button to reveal the link.

Please include SONAR 2017.01 in the post title, and refrain from including issues not related to SONAR 2017.01 as they may get missed. We’ll do our best to lock posts as we confirm the reports.
