    A: Yes

They’re soooooooooo good. I wanted to dislike them, but couldn’t one bit. They’re the absolute best original plugins. Period.

Fabfilter stuff gets a lot of use here. Pro-Q2 remains my go-to when dynamic equalization isn't called for. Pro-C2 remains my go-to for gentle compression, de-essing or sidechaining. Pro-L remains my go-to on individual tracks and drum busses. Saturn is the first call plugin for subtle distortion. Pro-G is the only gate I use.

Two FF plugins that don't get as much love here are Pro-MB and Timeless2. Not because they aren't great, but because I have alternatives that are quicker and easier to use.

To answer your question, Zo, my guess is that a flashy new toy comes along every week to vie for our attention, while FF processors are plain-jane and not very sexy workhorses.

Got to disagree on that, bit.
Just looking at FabFilter Pro-R makes me happy.

    Lol

In fact pro mb was the most interesting due to per band sidechain witch is great , the problem is that for exemple pro r is exellent but i can have better with less cpu hungry stuff , pro q is used really when i need to go chirurgical , give me a ssl channel strip and i can handle 80 % of my needs , pro c is also exellent but again i use that when i went go technical or creative , in fact their plugins are exellent for post prod , even more final stage , when i need to go instictive , thos will not be there , but problem solver : instant call ...

Saturn is on its own a playground , and usually i keep going too far lol ...just because i can lol

    Twin I don't use enough.

ProR looks stunning as Fleer says, And so asy to get results from in fabfilters way.

I think Saturn looks and sounds really cool, but has competition in my DAW from KiloHearts Multi. Want Multi band distortion, KH Muliti, you want to mono that low band, throw in multiband transient designer, compress a band, KioHearts Muliti.

That's because Pro-R is still new and shiny.

A year from now, there will be some new reverb with a fancy visualization showing dancing pixels that represent each ray-trace, color-coded and fully automatable. We'll all want it, and probably grab it a year after that, when it goes on a 90%-off sale during Black Friday.

But along the way, it'll still be our plain-jane go-to reverbs that we choose in a pinch, whether that ends up being Pro-R or an old reliable like ValhallaRoom.

It's not that much the look of them witch i find beautyfull , but more like the sonic territory , to "anomis , not enought caracter" witch is great in some cases of course ...

OK, let's get Valhalla out of the way. Here's my ValhallaDSP FAQ:

Q: Are they really that good?
    A: Yes.

Q: Then why are they cheap?
A: Beats the heck outa me.

    Q: Which one's best?
A: Don't worry about it. They're cheap enough you can collect 'em all.

Can't think of anything more to discuss. Except to apologize for going off-topic. So I'll redeem myself by adding that Pro-R is really, really good and does things Valhalla reverbs can't do. If I can get a break on it during Black Friday, I'll probably buy it.

Pro-G is the only gate I use.

    Fabfilter bundle owner here, hello.
Why do you prefer Pro-G over Sonitus:Gate? I'm just thinking if I should start using Pro-G, too.

The Sonitus gate works fine in some situations but is prone to chatter in others. By "chatter", I mean when the signal is hovering around the threshold and the gate can't make up its mind which way to go, so it rapidly switches on and off.

Of course, all gates do that if you're not careful, but Pro-G adds a helpful knee parameter and that nifty scrolling display to help dial it in. It also has some other cool-looking features that I've never actually used (e.g. M/S in the sidechain path), but might someday.

I came to FabFilter for the filteres and stayed for the bread and butter effects.

My favorite is actually the Pro-R. I worked on a dialogue mix and we actually used that for a lot of the rooms in stead of using IR's which is the norm when dealing with dialogue in movies. It is amazing what can be done with it. And it is my go-to 'verb for music.

Agree on the gate. I don't think I have ever found a gate that works in a simmilar satisfactory way as the Pro-G. There may be gates out there that does a just as fine job as the Pro-G, but I am done looking for the perfect gate. I already have it.

What I don't really get my head around is their synths. They aren't really that interesting. And as much as I love Timeless, I tend to just use the stock delays in Logic, although, I have some excellent presets in Timeless 2 that I go to for certain things. The modulation section is quite powerful. Awesome for fateing up vocals.

FabFilter Pro Q2  + FabFilter Pro MB are staples in my workflow!
Looking to snag the Pro L or Pro C next time some type of discount pops up aside from the loyalty pricing.
