The Gibson's.....Live video

This is another band that hire's me for live sound engineer.
I always record the shows and provide  with live footage.

This is a christian rock band .   Two guitar players more than 30 years apart in age.
Shane (playing the vintage V) is only 18 years old.

Frist time that I ever recorded a talkbox live.  We didn't have much time for set-up,
due to being set up on the court house steps.  No sound check, set up and let'er roll.

The drummer has a monster of a drum kit.  I had 14 mic's on his kit.

    Hi, Tim,

Wow, nice work on both the live audio recording and the video on this!

Those guys rock, and you did a great job capturing the live mix which is always a challenge, especially outdoors.  The band sort of reminds me of Blackberry Smoke or possibly Jackyl.  Actually, from a distance in the video, the singer sort of even looks like a mix of Jackyl's Jesse James Dupree and Ozzy Osborne.

Anyway, thanks for posting it, really good stuff!

Thanks for the nice comment........The Gibson's would appreciate that.

I'm not happy with the mix, but it'll do for what it is..........youtube.
The bass isn't to happening, :(       The direct line from the bass I couldn't use it.
We lost the signal right at the first song.   So I had to rely on the 421 and it didn't do to good
of a job on a old Yamaha only have'in a 15.  I was hopeing to have both to blend.

You don't get no "re-do's" with what I do and not enough time to set up.
    It's very challenging, but fun.

It's funny you say Jerry looks like Ozzy.   We been say'in that for years.
But never heard anybody say Jesse...........:)  lol .
He use to sing in a band called Diamondback 30 years ago.

For a live mix this really sounds great. Wouldn't have known just by listening.
