The Glue, DIVA, VCC, VTM: Plugins With Different Oversampling Settings For Bounces & X1
There are a lot of plugins that are now using different oversampling options for offline bounces versus realtime playback. The Glue, DIVA, VCC, VTM, are some examples. In this, I can use no oversampling for realtime playback but 16x oversampling settings on bounce, assuming my host supports it. Sonar 8.5 does not appear to support this functionality by notifying the plugins that it's in offline mode during bounces. Does Sonar X1 properly report an offline bounce to these plugins so the offline oversampling option can be used? I'm hoping this was introduced at some point in the X1 life cycle.

Bump on this one (and a new thread title for clarity).

Voxengo's GlissEQ and Span for example can properly differentiate between Offline/Online rendering in both Sonar 8.5 and X1 - both plugins even report it on their GUI. Slate's VCC isn't able to do this, not in 8.5 nor X1. When I reported this to SD support last year, I got this response: "As for the Oversampling issue, this has to do with the way Sonar handles thread priorities, and unfortunately, is more of a bug on their end. We've reported the issue to them, and have had other users as well, in hopes that it can be corrected." I really doubt something will happen about this issue because everyone is shifting the blame on others. But as you can see regarding Voxengo: Sonar is perfectly able to report an offline bounce. In the case of The Glue I never bothered too much about oversampling settings higher than 2x (for offline AND online) and I can't comment on the other plugins you mentioned because I don't have them (yet, in the case of VTM ).

Glue's oversampling, real and offtime, worked fine for me in 8.5 and X1.
You're in an amazing state. So stay there.

vespesian Glue's oversampling, real and offtime, worked fine for me in 8.5 and X1. I tried again today with The Glue and it did work. Realtime showed aliasing, I used 16x oversampling on Render which did not. Odd. Perhaps I misconfigured something in a previous test. Thanks for the reply.
