The Good News from NI though...

http://www.native-instrum...ects/solid-mix-series/

Finally, Guitar Rig no longer required! And a free update.

GUI's also much better, as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe IK should consider hiring the guy who designs these for NI for the British Channel. ;)

Solid Bus Comp is great for mix glue...in fact its mix glue preset is usually fine for me without much tweaking.

Solid Dynamics I haven't really used yet.

I don't use them much myself, party due to the fact that my bundled comp works just fine and does a great job for SSL type of buss compression, but also because Guitar Rig is a pain to use.

"Please note: Owners of the existing SOLID MIX SERIES get a free update to the new version. Available March 27, 2013."

Nice for existing owners.  I was hoping to pick this up in U9 but the upgrade price is steep for me.

    Nice, a free update.

Tried using the solid mix series, but since this is stuck in guitar rig, I hardly go there in the first place ... only when chasing alternatives but with so many alternatives this rarely happened  ... might change now ...

Need to make a mental note to install that right away.
