Great pop tune, Mike. The intro totally worked, and it all flowed so naturally.

The lead guitar needs to come up. The lines prior to the "great escape" line feel a hair rushed.

Hi Mike, liked this, real greenday/busted sound of it and its poppy too (my style!). Catchy. The sound is v pro too. Agree with James, the lead is buried. I felt the fill at 2:48 could of done with a little more punch and attack too. May I ask did you record this as a band or did you layer the different parts?

Thanks guys - the lead guitar has been nudged up half a dB - totally agree with you there.

@whack - This is all me mate, I drum, play guitar, bass, piano and sing. The strings were Session Strings by Native Instruments - they're bring out Session Strings Pro soon by the by, so if you're interested, definitely give it a look; very good samples.

    Thanks :)

Cool tune – fun to listen to over and over – that’s a good sign. Good vocal, good playing and a solid rocker. I love the reference to the great escape – Steve McQueen is smiling somewhere (somewhere nice I hope). This would be a blast to do live. Good for you!

Holy smokes!!  I'm with Janet ,well, in spirit not proximity :-).  I'd definitely crank this tune up if I was listening to the radio.  Great job.

Oh!  ME, too!  I'd TOTALLY crank this.

Totally radio worthy and catchy and all that good stuff.  NICE JOB, Mike!

I think it's one of the best pop tunes I've heard here.  No foolin'.

(I *am* the sort of girl who likes a little more dynamics, but I also know that I've lost the loudness wars, and you've done a great job keeping up with the Jones' here.)
