The Guitar Tracks Pro 4.0.5 Update Problems

   I just purchased the GT Pro 4 upgrade, which installed without a problem.  But when I downloaded the 4.0.5 update, I could no longer create a new project or even add a track!  I reinstalled GT Pro 4 and everything worked fine.  I downloaded the 4.0.5 update and it did the same thing! So, I'm running 4.0 but I would sure like to run the update because most updates are made to fix problems!!

    You followed the instructions below?

    Especially no 3?
    1. Close any open Cakewalk applications
    2. Download and install the 4.0.5 update using the link below
    3. Next, time you launch Guitar Tracks Pro 4 hold down the CTRL key
    4. You will be prompted with the message "Guitar Tracks Pro will now personalize your settings . . ."
    5. Click OK
    6. If prompted with the message "This file already exists... Would you like to replace the existing file..." click [Yes to All]

    I had the same issue. I un-installed, then re-installed. After that I ran the patch. Been working since. Hope this helps.

    It may pay to run a registry cleaner after you have un-installed GTP4 before you re-install.
