Thanks Mark - lol...don't read too much into the imagery though! This is because I'm fully aware of narrative film art, imagery and the deep connections between the unconscious or the id, and how this manifests itself through ones' art. I was, and even though this will sound like a confession, but I was working in a similar way to Jackson Pollack or The Automatic. Except I was standing outside of myself watching the process. So what I was doing was watching The Incredible Hulk TV show, writing the music (the initial music themes and motifs were actually a rewrite of The Lonely Man Theme), taking plot lines from the TV show through the dialogue, and throwing all this up in the air to see what stuck to the canvas or The Automatic. I then sexed the work up with obvious psychological connections to try and create a work that could appeal to people through those connections, which on writing the process down, probably makes me sound even sicker lol; although enlightenment and wisdom is a journey to the end - through awareness you can free the soul of the psychological links presented in the work...hmm lol.
Basically, I awoke when I was 10 years old - I can still remember the day and feeling when my true self emerged, which freed me from the normal shaping connections that exist between generations or our parents and our parents, parents. Gosh, I don't know where some of this stuff comes from sometimes lol? But it's true - I left home when I was 15 and haven't had any contact with my mother for a very long time. I always believed that if a person is sick, unless they keep trying to better themselves - you should walk away!
Anyway, I probably revealed too much of myself...but then again, if more people did this...maybe we'd all be healthier and happier mentally. Thanks for listening. I'm working on new stuff all the time. I've gone back to a piece from last year and am creating a grail myth work...except the characters are asian lol - so an Asian Merlin. I modeled the digital actors on actors from Enter The Dragon, because of the cut-up visual I created for the piece at the time and because the sonata is a self-portrait, and I'm born in the year of the dragon! Mythologizing. The Theme of The She-Bulk is in pre production too. The initial acoustic guitar has been recorded, and the basic plot is ready to go.
The work will only keep getting better and more majikal too - I believe I could almost produce you Star Wars now - with only a DSLR and the tech I have currently. I mean I've put a lightsaber effect over Uther Nebdragon ;) as he rides a human horse (a bit of Monty Python :)) and brandishes Excalibur. The technological eco-system has matured and is amazing, I can almost create anything I can imagine now, and actually I haven't imagined anything that I could not achieve so far. It is still not very well understood, just how amazing the tech is now, and how cheap it is - making it available to almost anyone...sure I've got 32 years worth of knowledge, I started when I was 10 ;), but I could teach anyone with a passion what I know in a year or two, and they could become proficent in another year or two.
At times, I think I'm the only one who does get this...but I can't be? Can I?
Peace and love.
