The Last Dance - Pop/Rap/Club (collab)
Hi All, Some of you may be familiar with Findenzio a.k.a drma17 on the forums who has got some skills on pop production that I liked. I offered to try something out with him a few months back and we finally got to crank something out that fuses some club, pop and rap together. The last dance is written about a girl that I met a while back....as per usual, fuelling the song lyrics. Check it out and let us know what can be improved https://soundcloud.com/findenzio/last-dance Cian

Not necessarily my style, bit it sounds like a pretty good pop/dance mix here. Nicely done. BTW.... "I remember the Bee Gees". Ha!

Cian, I've been a fan of you and Tony for some time. I'm delighted that you two collaborated on this song, as it contains the best of the both of you. The song and arrangement are very good. The mix sounds balanced and open, and I have no suggestions to make it better. I'm looking forward to hearing you guys on the radio someday.

Nice work guys. It sounds good and I used to play the Bee Gees on the turntable when I was a kid.

great stuff...I think I'd bring the vox up a bit...the sound stage overall is very wide and has lots of breath...so the vox needs a bit of boost to have it come into it's own....it's really needed in the falsetto parts.... great tune!

Thanks for all your comments guys. I think this actually feels like a "complete song". I reckon I need to re do my vox to help fit the beat of the song better and the vol increase on the falsetto parts is a good point. Tony's mate did a really good job on the rap, its clever and delivered well. Cian

Very nice work Cian. Tough for any critique for me here, I would love to hear it over a club system to see if the bottom end really punches. I liked it a lot.

Very nice..... of course I'm not a dance/rap expert but .... this is very well done. Lots of little pieces of ear candy in there too. I could actually understand the rap..... (rare for me) .. maybe that's bad for you.... just kidding... I've been watching drma17 for some time.... I remember when he first came here.... his skills have really gone through the roof..... Nice collab all the way around. Kudo's to all involved.

Sounds like a well balanced mix here and an ideal dance/club track.

Cheers Wookie, I agree the mix feels very open as if there is plenty of room about, hats off to tony with that. Thanks Warren, I dont think there is any immediate hook to the song and I would agree it gets better the more you listen to it. A 9? Id go with 7, your too kind! Cian
