The McQ System

It's now a scientific fact that forum decorum can be measured on a scale of the quality of discourse contained in a thread.

The range is from -100 McQ for a complete STFU to a +6 McQ for a YVW.

Normal background noise (or average Bapu posts) measure at around -20 McQ

    -100

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

    -100

-100 is just a meaningless number without a reference scale.

Did you mean specifically -100 McQ?

I thought when no reference scale was present the standard was McQ?

I'm going to have to re-process all my posts now?
