The Most COMPATIBLE Keyboard Controllers?

Hello everyone!

I am setting up a new DAW studio....  i remember in Sonar X1 I had so much trouble getting my M-Audio Oxygen to keep its CC/ACT controls in sync.   I was wondering if there are any controllers that work more compatible with Sonar X2.

I looked at the Roland ones sold by Cakewalk but the Mod Wheel acts like a pitch wheel!  It goes back to zero when you let go!  That's a big NO for me because certain patches totally change sound when you have the mod wheel adjusted.  Sometimes, i want to set it and go!

Any others?

Thank you in advanced!

Adam

You can use an expression pedal for that purpose, but sadly the A-Pro series is a little tricky and you'll have to temporarily use a non-ACT map when you want to use the pedal.

Yea I know but I don't want to use an expression pedal... the mod wheel should act like one :)

Any good ideas for other controllers?  Any that work better than others with Sonar?

I'm pretty sure you'll get more replies if you post in the Sonar forum :)
Also, there's an ongoing thread called "ACT POLL" which is worth checking.

I am in the Keyboard Controllers & Sound Modules forum on the Cakewalk Website, so i figured common sense would be to post this here, no?

I mean, judging from the number of replies, not many Sonar users using midi keyboard/cs read this forum :)
Your question is about what MIDI keyboard works best with SONAR, so there's no reason to hesitate to ask in the Sonar forum.

Edit: Oh, you already did. Good. But it's the weekend so maybe not so many replies...
