The Official SPECULATION thread of sonar X1. Post Speculative Facts Here!

If you have never tried or seen Sonar X1 in person this is the thread for you!!!

Have a driver issue you just KNOW is going to happen?

A  bug that for sure has not been fixed?

You're  a betting man..... you would bet that Pro-channel would never satisfy your needs?

You're dang well sure the work flow won't be smooth as this one guy you saw work with Digital Performer down the street a few years ago. Now that DAW had work flow!!

Yes....folks....

If you know how to speculate on product you never used or seen in person ......

please.... be my guest and post your thoughts here!!!!

Thanks,

Mooch

What do you mean X1 is not available yet?! It's generated more traffic on this forum than any other subject, I'm sure! :O)

well ... the beauty of this thread is it's speculative nature - that means when Sonar X1 DOES come out - you are still allowed to speculate so long as you don't  use it and build up experience and knowledge of what you are talking about

once you own it and have used it for a significant amount of time-- them you have have experience with it.... and probably some factual knowledge

speculation and fact can't co exist  - it's scientifically impossible

in that case you won't be able to post here anymore -

this thread is only for speculating - x1 -

the product being available or not - is irrelevant so long as you haven't seen or used it yet

I'm only speculating but I surmmize that SONAR X1 will be more than 20% to 40% better than any SONAR before it.

Not only that but it will be totally bug free, easy on your system, easy to learn and I believe there's going to be a surprise plugin that cake have been working on.

It's called the HR-64.
When applied on the master bus it converts any exported stereo data in to a Hit Record.

That's all from radio 2 SS (SONAR SPECULATION).

The Track Filter feature won't make working with automation any easier. They make it look like it will, but it won't. I can tell!

The Pro Channel will sound indistinguishable from the Sonitus Plugs!! Or worse at best...

Yo, Bakers! You just had to go and add two "plugins", didn't you? Was ZERO plugins too much to ask for?

Didn't you hear us? NO MORE PLUGS!!!!

Why couldn't you've just concentrated on workflow?

What do you mean you did? I'm not working any faster, neither will I when this catastrophe is released!!

I heard that they dropped support for v8.5 months ago and that there is not going to be another bug fix patch released dispite the massive list of known bugs and the huge user base.

Hey, I'll speculate....

. I think X? might have a new user interface?, I guess it's time for UI overhaul.

. Greater enhancements to workflow?,

. Enhanced Inspector? with better way to work with envelopes?,

. Possibly a new browser and easier way to manage files on the h/d with drag/drop capabilities similar to peesonus s1?.

. Maybe a new tool that is 'smart'?, with better consistency of workflow across all views?

. FX-Chains?, I hope so.

. I guess there will be a new channel tool? but this time it's built into all tracks and busses?.. oh I suppose that's asking for too much but what the heck... a really cool channel strip that will help us get that PROfessional polished mix, not sure what they'll call it?,  ProChannel?,  yeah I think that sounds cool ;)

. Overall continued tweaks under da' hood, better overall performance compared to previous versions.

* Most of the above are what others and I have discussed in the past, a lot of contribution (ideas posted), then  we all submitted those ideas ((feature requests)) to Cakewalk.  * Do Cakewalk listen to their customers?.. Absolutely :)

Thanks Cakewalk, you guys are the best! Keep up the great work CW :)

I speculate that if I try and run my interface with a latency time of 0.1msecs I'll have dropouts, crackles & pops. Obviously I'm not very happy about that especially as I'll be paying 40% more than most other users (I'm UK based) so I expect it to be 40% better.

Before anyone starts with helpful suggestions - no I'm not interested in trying different driver settings. I just want it to work perfectly. It is my God given right.........

I speculate that I'll still have to either enter info in the info folder for a project
or spend hours looking through folders trying to find the media I was
working with because it still won't have "project media" to save
with the project. But that's to do with workflow.....oh yeah that's what
they were working on...oops...
well at least it will look pretty...I speculate.
Major miss in workflow improvement. IMHO.

I speculate Mooch will still not know how to use The SONAH X1 even after nearly five years of not really learning how to us and iteration of The SONAH.

But I speculate he will say he can work faster and is more satisfied with this release because it was only $99 (even though he had paid for it and had not downloaded it as of Dec. 9th, 2012).

Oh yeah, I  speculate The CHB will release their next song mixed on The SONAH X2 X1.

<edir> Oh yeah, I speculate this thread will be in the Coffee House before long.

I'm speculating that the launch of Sonar X1 will flood these forums with all manner of pomposity and arrogance.  The Cakewalk Elite will loudly declare in the most obnoxiously ostentatious tone possible that they, and they alone, know absolutely everything there is to know about everything.

I'm also speculating that peace, harmony, and a general increase in collecitve intelligence will finally return when certain members of the Elite wander, individually, into a Hall of Mirrors.  Surrounded by reflections of themselves, they will sit and stare for the rest of time.  Having finally found that place in the universe where everyone present shares their opinion of themselves, they will pontificate endlessly upon the vastness of their greatness, the superiority of their knowledge, and the shockingly gargantuan amount of love they have for themselves.

Oh, and I'm also speculating that I'll still be an idiot.
