The Only One

After a year and a half without making music, here is a new song made by me (entirely on my own, on the attic ). Those who know my previous songs, which were often quite melancholic and sometimes rather desperate, may be surprised by this one. It's me going gospel!!!

The song was made with some sort of live-feel and a wall-of-sound in my mind. It was a challenge NOT to drown everything in the mix but I think I got the result I was looking for (thanks to Sonar 8.5 and some excellent new plugins!!! But more about that in another topic).

The Only One

Let me know what you think of it!

I'm liking it. I was waiting for the instruments to build a bit more in volume by the second verse, but still, great song.

This appears to work as designed and is actually a pretty cool feature.

Very, Very Nice..... I can appreciate the effort put in to keep this one from becoming "Swamped".  Nice even level throughout allowing the instruments to provide for transitioning from verse/chorus and bridge. I think you accomplished your mission very well, Kudos!!!

Very nice , I started out wondering if I was going to like it but after listening to your music and vocal and lyrics it really starts growing on you .

Has alittle bit of COLD PLAY in the music I noticed and I like that , a bit more work and this would be a HIT song !

It's a nice tune.  I would have liked to hear some BGV earlier in the tune.  It was "full" at the end.  It seems a bit "muddy" to me but I never know if that's me or the mix.  I can listen to a song three times in a row and hear it differently.  That's why Mark does all our mixing.  You did a nice job on this, hellogoodbye (I couldn't find your name on the profile).
