The Point Of The Bakery Questions

I am not exactly sure I get the point of the Bakery... especially the questions page.

So now if I want to browse other users questions I have to go to 2 places?  The forum AND the Bakery?

I think the Bakery is fine for ideas and bugs, but questions?

As with many things nowadays, there's various ways of accumulating knowledge about a product. With Cakewalk it's either this forum, The Bakery or umpteen other avenues including Facebook forums. There will be a certain amount of cross pollination with questions and answers.

Whilst I usually start with a Google search in the event of an issue, it's generally this forum I end up being directed to but occasionally I get sent to others. In my view, the more the merrier. Social media is a vast playground now so it's always wise to check all avenues if you're stuck.

actually that is the problem with the internet today.   too many places for the same stuff.  it makes searching cumbersome.

even social media.  Why cant you just post all your photos to facebook?  why do I need to subscribe to someones Instagram and Twitter to see EVERYTHING?

I think:

I think they would like to transition from the forum where while moderated, make it tough on marketing as it's hard to scan the headers of any software forum and see the good in the product. With the bakery, you need to put in a string for what you want to read about and they can control whether "hang" or "crash" strings locate any hits for example.

If you look at the headers of the threads here you could get the idea the sky is falling when in reality it may only legitimately for a few.
Celemony for example has eliminated their forum altogether. Your choices are: call or email support or gush over the prepared text about how great Melodyne is. - This is a grandest display of close up the gates, and circle the wagons I have seen yet. I know who Cakewalk is afraid of, but Celemony IMO has nobody to fear - right now anyway.
