The Ravens were impressive....
I thought the Broncos would win but the Ravens won in overtime.... what a game. Now I think the Packers are goingto beat the 49ers.... I think and hope that the Falcons beat the Sweethawks and the Texans slaughter the Patriots. Then.. the Flacons have a good shot at winning the Superbowl... I'll be wearing my John Abraham jersey. If the Falcons win the supebowl, I will blow my budget for everything else for a month buying shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and jerseys. High level play tonight! J

Perhaps the 49ers are better than I thought... I may have misunderestimated them.

I hear Mooch used to be a tight end for the packers. Oh wait, you're talking about football. My bad.

I guess now we have to hope for a brother against brother battle royale. Two Harbaugh's enter...only one Harbaugh leaves. Next Thanksgiving might be a bit awkward.

J Yeah ... I was really surprised ... I did not think that the Ravens could score 35 points at all, let alone 38 ... but they gave Denver a really good smash mouth game ... all in all, Denver should be excited and happy ... they had a magnificent year and will probably be better next year if they do not lose a whole bunch of folks to more money. BTW, take away a punt return and a kickoff return, it would say that Denver was quite short and not well prepared for this game. One more thing ... Peyton, when he is done playing ... for Offensive Co-ordinator ... and I bet you that John Elway already has that in mind! SF-GB I can't believe that GB did not adjust anything on their defensive side of the ball, and that they just kept loading up the inside with a 4-3 ... leaving a massive set of gaping holes on the sides and edges for Colin to have a nice heyday! Sorry ... this one is on the shoddy, and bad defense that did not adjust as needed, to ensure they could address the issues ... that 4-3 should have spread out the linebackers a bit more ... to help the sides if needed, and GB paid the price for not handling things better. Hand it to the kid ... what a performance! He keeps that up and pretty soon no one will ever remember the names of Montana or Young! Absolutely awesome performance, but you got to give the coaching staff some credit for making sure that the offense had the plays designed so ALL of THEM, had an out for the kid, and he knew when to jump ... and punish GB for their lack of defensive adjustments. I found it scary to see them still lined up exactly the same on the 3rd quarter as they had in the 1st quarter! Funny/ironic side of things .. .Alex Smith getting a Super Bowl ring ... without playing ... when he was so close to bringing the team to it the prior year!
As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

On December 23rd, a the tender age of 40, I finally got football. We were at the hospital, and had to wait for a few hours, and it was Dallas vs New Orleans on the tv. Not as boring as I'd always thought it was - pretty cool in fact. Doesn't beat hockey, but still... ;)

Who are these Seathawks? The battle of the boids is not disappointing... I am playing my guitar inbetween plays, it is a good day (so far). My daughter just called from Dooseldorf. She pays to be able to see all the NFL games in Germany and now has a group of friends who come to her apartment every Sunday to watch. She says they are "getting it" and becoming Falcons fans. Did I mention her Christmas gift to me was tickets for me and her to go to a Falcons game.... we had a blast! J

I don't feel comfortable cheering for a bunch of 20 year old who can't even spell their name being paid millions to hit a piece of rubber w/ a stick. Furthermore, it's pretty hard to identify to your home team when 99% of the players come from everywhere but home and care about nothing but getting as much money as they can when they're first signed. And the game itself has changed so much.

jbow Perhaps the 49ers are better than I thought... I may have misunderestimated them. Depends which team shows up for the game. They seem to operate in one of two modes: totally suck and totally rock. Two weeks ago, the suck mode team showed up to play Seattle. Yesterday we got the rock mode team for sure.

Oh man... that Falcons/Seahawks game was just too much. We won!, no, we lost... YES, WE WON!... no, we lost... YAAA, WE WON!... oh no, what are we doing... YES! WE WON! I still don't know what they were thinking with that last kickoff... what, did they want to give the Seahawks one more chance??? Some play calls seem REALLY stupid to me. Coach Julien PS: GO TEXANS!!

The kicker misunderstood what he was supposed to do (definitely not what the coach's wanted). He was supposed to drill the ball low down the field, not attempt an onside kick!

Pats roll to a win. Lets see if they can handle the Ravens now. Overall a wicked weekend of Football. I can't remember a year when the games were this good all the way around. I thought for sure the Seahawks were going to win. They were the one team I didn't want to play if the Pats make it to the big show again.
