The Rise of the Robots - Electro-pop
This song/recording, "The Rise of the Robots" is a bit off the beaten path for me - lyrically semi-serious - I'm not sure what this is genre-wise, any comments and crits are most welcome; SoundClick Link: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12583699 Done in Sonar X3 - variety of synths virtual and hardware. Inspired by the title of a recent "Computer Music" sample set - although those weren't used. Most grateful for any feedback - thx, Ron

That was a pretty interesting song and at first your vocals sound a lot like Lynn was singing. Your vocals sound very close together. This had some interesting textures and voices in it, with some nice instrumentation, awesome vocals and one great mix. Very nicely done for sure. Peace and Blessings, John

Pretty cool song ! I like the concept of it a lot,it reminds me of when I used to play with this electro drummer - he was obsessed with Kraftwerk. Bought back a lot of good memories ;). Nice song, thanks for sharing Kev

Don't know what the critics would say, but this brought a smile to my face. NIce separation of the instruments/vox - everything is clear w/o stepping on each other. The chorus of Rise of the robots probably could use some something more - big reverb, fx. Right now it is kind of just there. Interesting song. It certainly doesn't sound like much of anything else - and that is a good thing. @

I like this song a lot. The sounds are good used and the vocals fit in really well. Nice punchy bass drum. I think the side melody synth thats over the vocals in the refrain is a little too loud, it's disturbing the vocal. Nice catchy song, good work!

I had images of a Korean guy dancing around in baggy pants. I guess that was another song ;) The whole thing had a robotic mechanical feel to it and in this case I think that's what you were going for. I didn't quite get a Kraftwerk feel from it as to me they were even more methodical and mechanical. It reminded me more of Deadmau with some Kraftwerk influences. I enjoyed the listen. I think this could be a nice dance number. I liked the whole thing. Thanks for sharing.

Like the song a lot. I like the percussion parts, but feel they are buried in the mix. In particular, there are some nice drum rolls that are placed just right, but don't have the driving effect I think they could have. I feel that if they could be livened up, it could raise the mix to a new level. I'm a beginner, so I don't know how that might be accomplished, but just wanted to offer it for consideration.
