Well said, lol, but I think the point is we'll be working differently now (in my case in the future) and some old bugs are irrelevant.

I didnt mean to imply that ALL old bugs were irrelevent or that the entire app was rewritten.
Some areas of the application were reworked very significantly such as browser, synth rack, drag and drop, view management, drawing, editing, menus, preferences and toolbars. So many old issues in those areas may have been addressed or are now irrelevant since the code is completely different. For example a bug with an old tool may not exist any more since the tool is replaced with something else. Of course that doesn't mean the new tool won't potentially have a bug so don't be disappointed :-P
BTW I forgot to mention in the mind map that all the effects bins infrastructure was very significantly reworked to allow for effects chains and the new pro channel modules. In the process we did fix and improve a bunch of stuff. I need to go back and check on what we did - its all a blur now :)

Couldn't figure out how the mindmap works (weird behavior, and when a few texts are open, the mouse wheel changes font size instead of scrolls) - so I really, really appreciate the PDF!

"important features were somewhat hidden, thereby preventing many users from fully exploiting its power and available tools most effectively. It was time to rethink and refactor some of our fundamentals..."

Oh, how true! So pleased this has been addressed.

Sorry but thanks for nothing. It is painful to look at it. What is the problem Cakewalk? A bright white background and low contrast text? If you want to know how it makes me feel do this. Tonight before you leave work start your car, turn the brights on your headlights and kneel down and stare, up close, at your lights for ten minutes. Then you'll get an idea of how that mind thing affects my eyes.

Sorry to be so bitter about this but this is rediculous.

If you want to download the mind map to your PC, you will have to do two things:

1). Install FreeMind:  http://freemind.sourcefor...iki/index.php/Download

2. Download the Sonar X1 mind map.

When you download the mind map, it will be an XML file named as follows: 'SONARX1FinePrint.mm.xml'

You will have to rename the file removing the '.xml' part at the end so the file ends up being named as follows: 'SONARX1FinePrint.mm'.  All FreeMind files must end with '.mm'.

You can now double click this file and it will open in FreeMind.

Cheers!

...A bright white background and low contrast text?...

Here are some options:  You can download the provided PDF (at the top of the page) or darken the Mind Map's background using the color control (top-center, next to the "i" button).  Hope this helps.

If you had not told me the pdf was there, I would have never saw it. The pdf is much better. Thank you.

Could you put something in your mind map about tightening up Audiosnap, or at least explaining it better (i.e. comprehensively)?  After a lot of time and effort, I can't explain the results I get with it.  It doesn't look like it's changed any in X1.  I have very high hopes for the technology.

I would recommend you Use the PDF version, that works on any/all devices that support a PDF reader (which is just about all these days).

That, of course, for the X2 mindmap, so we can anticipate future developments.
I expect it on my desk first thing tomorrow morning!
