The Standard

howdy y'all -

Here's this week's Kicksville release....as usual, it's a complete 180 from last week's song . Before you ask, the vocalists are the Three Sirens of Kicksville: Cheryl Nystrom, Georgina McKee, and Aya Peard.....

Cool song! I love the bass line! Great player there!

All of it is really cool but I'm originally a bass player.

    Very well done!

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Nice tune. It's interesting to have the little almost easy listening jazz breakdown in the middle of a tune like this, but it fits. On the crappy speakers the only thing I notice sonically that might be problematic is that it may be a little toppy? The bass part is great, and it's too active too have too much low end (though there may be plenty I can't hear on these small speakers), and that's leaving it a little toppy sounding maybe?

aww, shucks Guitarpima [blushing] - yep, that's me on the bass....thanks, man!

And yeah, Dean - I had to be careful with the low-end on the bass part since it's so busy. Still though, it's got plenty of warmth if you listen on full-range speakers or headphones.

    Thanks again, y'all!
