The Tremendous Three - TTT proudly present....

Hi guys
On the Swedish forum we have gathered a group called The Tremendous Three it contains me MaxB and Lazarus and the name from the start was EdLaMa but it sounded so awful so Lazarus said lets call us The Tremendous Three so we did. I know it sound a bit pretentious so I'm sorry for that - anyway we have done 4 songs and would love if you listened on it and maybe give us a comment.

I like all the instrumentation and some of the vocals. The vocals feel pretty deep for the instrumentation, that is, rock genre. The vocals feel more like they should be in a country song, but this is just my opinion. I don't really sing because my vocals are all over the place, especially on the highs and lows, and that is the feeling I get with your vocals. For the most part they are really low. They are good for the most part and the harmonies are really good. Maybe one of the other guys should try singing or maybe you could redo the vocals in another key and try to stay on key all the way through the songs. Great start to something even better. Like to hear the final product with the vocals spot on. Great instrumentation.

The mixes are well done. Instrumentation is well played. The lead vocal is very uneven and really distracts from the songs. Now, other bands have used "unique" lead vocalists in the past, but you'll need to figure out how to record and mix him so it works.

Lots of thing happening in all the songs, I think Eagle is my choice for best mixed, there is a more even spread of all the frequencies and there is more depth to the song as a whole.
I think Dan is right in that you will have to find a way of making the vocals sit in the mix better for the songs to work. I've found that my Rode NT1 is not the best choice of mic for male vocals, it seems to emphasise the high mids too much, so maybe a mic change will help with that.
I think you have a real epic sound going on, well done.

+1 to the above.   The songwriting, arrangements and production is good and appropriate for the genre IMHO.   I'm just not crazy about the lead vocals - they tend to be a little pitchy and a bit deep for the style.  That said I did like the deep, double tracked vocals in Eagle, and even the other lines seem to sit better in the mix.   Then again, of the four tunes I definitely liked Eagle the best anyway.   
 

Hi, The thing that just came to mind for me is that the music might not be in the best key for the vocal range, as he sounds like he is straining in places.
The mix seems fine and is all clear.
