So glad I listened to this! Love the EW&F vibe.

I listened on headphones, not the best listening environment. Love the chord changes, the drums are sounding really live and punchy. Vocals are very tasty and well mixed in.

My two issues would be, 1) sometimes I couldn't make out the lyrics, because 2) the bass might be  a bit too loud in the mix (and I love bass) and the tone has a  lot of hair on it, a lot of upper end stringiness, and that's competing with the vocal range perhaps?

your bass tone choice is very punk, very live, and very cool! but I wonder if a more traditional, smoother bass tone, like an r&b tone, might fit the song. There's a band called Down To The Bone and their bass player's tone would be what I'm thinking of.

What you have chosen for bass does sound pretty fresh and kind of modern, so that's the plus side.

I will listen later on my proper speakers, that might make all the diff.

    really cool tune,

    -Tom

    Thank you both.

Tom - I didn't expect a detailed breakdown but thank you. It's always cool to hear another honest perspective. Appreciated.

Good song!    Nice stereo spread, arrangement is solid and defined, vocals sound really good.. both lead and harmonies.   I agree with Tom that they might be getting a bit masked when the bass is moving, but otherwise the mix works for me.    I liked the "frog" voices (or whatever they are) after the choruses.

Reginald, this is really fresh!  I had to listen twice because it is so catchy.  Though some words don't come through, your voice is a fine instrument unto itself.  Very classy all the way.

    All the best,

Thanks all for your comments.  It is very much appreciated.

Also, for those that left critiques, I'd be curious to know what you listened on.

I mix on Mackie HR824s, Focal Alpha 50s, Avantone Mix Cubes, Beyerdynamic DT880s and finally, a pair of Iphone headphones.

    Thanks.
