The VS 700
I haven't been here in awhile, but I do get the emails from this forum section. The mixture of great and grief hasn't changed much. While I do agree there's not a Roland Tech on tap in this forum, ( and there should be ), we who bought it are still using the VS 700 to record, mix, and master. While we would like the 700C to encompass every new feature of Sonar Producer as soon as it changes, I don't think anyone realizes what that task really entails. In addition, people want instant third party plugin integration and the ability to hack the VS 700 beyond it's operating parameters, to conform it to their wish's. The wailing and gnashing of teeth has been endless. But that is progress, that is the process by which things proceed. Engineers think differently than artists do on most levels. When the communication between artists and engineers stops, progress does also. History will prove this many times over. So anyway..., as the old saying goes, never give up.
