The VST Enabler

I wanted to know is it possible to use the VST Enabler found in Audacity in MC. I stil want to get Magix because of the VST support and the built in plugins which I feel are very powerful and basically Magix would be the program I would do all my audio work in Magix. One more question would the rewire capability work with Magix in the instance that if I convert all my midi tracks to audio in MC could I transfer those tracks to Magix. Apologize for all the questions, but I need answers. Thanks in advance

If you want VST and VSTi capability, you do not have to use Magix, which is the baby brother to Samplitude., and really has some big issues, for one the audio and midi suites are separate, and the softsynths that come with it are limited, the other issue i have with Magix is the limit to the amount of synth one can use. . Just buy t god VSt wrapper like Directxer and Cake will use anything you want, it has a better work flow, and is easier to deal with in general.

To address the other question you can turn tracks into audio and take them anywhere you want but remember if you take them to magix, you need to import them into the audio suite, and then you can not add any more midi tracks to the project., for that matter if you have MC, you can upgrade to Home studio and it comes with a vsti wrapper.

I appreciate the advice I guess I'll just get the VSt Wrapper to hold me until I buy Home Studio or even better Project 5 maybe Sonar depending on the next few business transactions set to take place.

Don't go into SONAR until they have all the bugs in it fixed first. It's kinda unstable right now. I've got the SONAR 4.0.4 Studio Version but I still record the tracks in MCPro first then mix down in SONAR. The good thing about the SONAR program is that iI can use all the plug ins from Sonar in the MCPro.

I'll speak against that. Sonar 5.0.1 is very stable from this end. It's also a lot better than MC. If you're serious, that's the route I would take. I'd go read Craig Anderton's forum review at acapella.harmony-central.com (its at the sound, studio stage forum -- you may have to do a search). This guy knows his stuff. Hope this helps.
