The Value of the Add Ons

I looked up what the two new software add-ons cost. You can get Rematrix and The Addictive Drums 2 Producer Bundle for $404.14 at Audio Deluxe. That is a whole bunch of value added. Does anyone give you the quantity and quality of third party plugins that is in the Platinum SONAR? Melodyne w/ARA and Nomad Factory Blue Tubes, Overloud TH2 and Breverb, BiFilter, Softube Saturation Knob and AAS Lounge Lizard and Z3tq+? Some are trimmed versions but that is still a HUGE line-up.

The bundled REMatrix is a lite version which I do not believe is available for purchase. Hopefully, Overload will give Cakewalk a good deal on the upgrade to the full version for SOANR users.

I do not think anyone has ever questioned the value of the add-ons with Cakewalk products, especially if compared to retail prices for them as individual products. What some have noted is that not all add-ons are of equal value to all users. It is like bundling on your cable system. The ala carte cost of adding the fishing channel and a half dozen home shopping offerings to your lineup might be higher than most of us would be willing to pay, but they come "free."
