I think Lars Ulrich should donate his fortune to charity along with a public apology.

Funny, I'd have thought Mick Fleetwood would have been a little higher on that list.  I guess he's not a composer some of FM's big hits.  I guess it doesn't have to be just royalties.  I suppose some could have been smart investors, too.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Even if it's only for his snare on St. Anger.

Figured Charlie Watts would be a few notches higher.

Some years back I recall reading that Mick Fleetwood was supposedly bankrupt. So he has made a comeback of sorts. These guys must just not manage their money very well to become bankrupt with all their success. Either that or they have scammy accountants and managers.

    Broken pencils are pointless.

In the case of Mick Fleetwood that is the case. I had a friend who knew him though business. His managers/accountants messed him up pretty bad in the 80s. Good to see that he made a comeback.

No kidding ... but he has admitted wasting a lot of it ... but still ... he likely would be one of the highest grossing drummers around ... !!!

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

    Hi,

And some of the broke'iest drummers around still playing!

    1. Mani Neumeier (GuruGuru)
    2. Simon Phillips
    3. Steve Gadd
    4. Danny Fielschelsher (AD2)

    to name a few ...

Pierre, stated on a nice talk here in Portland that he didn't give a dang about the money as long as he could travel and have fun playing. He also said that he came with Gong that first time because he really wanted to see America ... !!!

Mani gets the award for old foggie drummer that is totally nutz and Bapu'd senseless ... at his age, he is still able to thrash-metal with Acid Mothers Temple and not miss a beat ... in fact he has joked that more than once they missed the beat and the play much more than he did!

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

Something tells me the $2M is from the club his mum owned (where The Beatles played). But I imagine it's like the articles said, many notables have "retired" from drumming and still got the cash.

    Pure class that guy!
