The Who and the Beatles to make new supergroup!
This just in... Realizing that each band has lost exactly the opposite members as the other band, the remaining members of the Who and the remaining members of the Beatles are in talks about making a combined superband.
While it's not sure if the name of the band will be the Who Beatles or the Beatles Who, everything is currently deadlocked until it's decided whose gear gets demolished at the end of each concert.

I dunno. They tried this once before with The Beatles and the Greatful Dead. The idea was scrapped when the only name they could come up with for the new group was The Dead Beats!

The idea was scrapped when the only name they could come up with for the new group was The Dead Beats!
That could be ... partially ... incorrect ... they came close ... and it was called "The Masked Marauders", but we heard that the main singer in one band was too busy and did not show up for the recording and was replaced by Donovan!

What happened with Starkey? I caught the who shortly after Entwistle's passing (like a week after) and he was doing a pretty good job at channeling Moon.

That's a drag, man because although it certainly wasn't "The Who" IMO, Starkey was great and wahtsisface (Palladino was the Ox ringer on that tour?) gave an excellent performance for only being with the band for under a week. They did a little video tribute on the big screen for John but the performance wasn't morose at all. They sucked it up and played their hearts out. Tragic stuff that was but he was a fool to think he could behave like a 20 year old again with that bad ticker of his. I felt terrible for his family. Still one of my favorite bass players though.
