The X1 Keyboard Sticker Pics
I just got the X1 Keyboard stickers in the mail today. I ordered them from here: http://www.4keyboard.com/sonarxkeyboardstickers-p-493.html I bought a new cheap keyboard and applied them to it. I have to say that I am very impressed with the quality, look and feel of these. I would recommend them to all Sonar X1 users. I just noticed they are even on sale at the moment. Thanks to the OP on these or I would have never found them. Sorry for the crappy pics, that's the best I could get it...

That looks impressive. I just recently bought a backlit keyboard that one of our Cakewalk employees (Brandon perhaps?) mentioned was a good replacement keyboard for those of us who like to work in a less lighted area. I love it by the way. But these stickers, as nice as they may seem, would be less than beneficial to the ones using the backlit keyboards. I still have my wireless keyboard so I suppose I could attach these stickers to it. But all that doesn't mean squat if we customize the keyboard shortcuts to our own particular needs. Not to mention how the shortcuts may change during the evolution of Sonar X... With that said, I am glad that those of you who are using these stickers find them useful. I hope that they continue to serve your needs.

Well, I bought the Gear Head keyboard at Fry's for $9.99 and the stickers were $8.50 shipped so all told I'm out less than $20 bucks and I now have a shinny new Sonar X1 keyboard. The sticker quality is excellent in every regard. Thick, Very colorful, Easy To Read, Cut Perfect, Nice Gloss Finish, They seem to be sticking great as well. I've already learned a couple of new shortcuts! To me this is a no brainer deal. I don't customize my shortcuts so that's of no concern to me at this point in time. My only gripe is that there are only 1 each of Shift, CTRL, and ALT. There should be 2 of each of those. I may ask him to add those to it. EDIT: I just emailed him the suggestion to add those to the set. That would make it perfect. But overall a great product.

Like I said in the other thread, I'm very happy with the Studio One set I bought from the same place. For the money you can't go wrong. The keyboard has to be squeaky clean though so they stick well. I would like to see a set of plastic key caps at a reasonable price though.

Now that Cakewalk have teamed up with Roland, they should do their own keyboards like Avid, especially as X1 is "the most successful version of Sonar ever" I really would love to know how many registered users there are - I literally have no idea 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 thousand? Who knows....

I don't know why I even stated as such but I just wanted to mention that I too would like the X1 stickers but I like the backlit keyboard better. My memory is shot from old age but I think I can remember the shortcuts that I use the most. Now what I would like to see is an interface for my control surface that changes according to which preset is chosen. The supplied template printouts is less than desirable.

I just received my stickers in the mail today. Mine came with 2 shift, ctrl, and alt keys so he must of took the op's advice. There is also the small and large function keys. I can verify they are of good quality and went on very easily and are sticking well so far. I also purchased a new keyboard to put the stickers on. Total cost for my custom X1 keyboard $25

Mine came with dual function and ctrl key versions. The large and small ones. It's a good deal for the price. Nothing is going to be custom key caps, but this is a good alternative at a great price.

Just got my keyboard stickers yesterday. Look good, but because my keyboard is illuminated, they won't be going on the keys. There's a large area on the wrist rest that I may mount them, or I may keep the stickers intact as a cheat sheet.

sammyw1013 You should check this keyboard out, I have it and it works well in low light areas. The keys are not shiney so you can still see what is on the keys. This keyboard taught me a few shortcuts I didn't know existed. http://www.logickeyboard.com/shop/cakewalk-sonar-x1-2445p.html That is a nice keyboard......but, it comes with a $124.90 price tag (for the US).... How's the quality of it and useage wise?
