This ultimately means all IK products will go 64-bit (according to IK). After UAD, XLN Audio and Rayzoon go 64-bit so shall The Bapu.

Just started the install myolpal. Seems in the zip there is a "what's new" doc. Does not appear to be any new amps or gear.

Here's the list of new stuff now available from the custom shop. (You can quickly see what you don't own in AmpliTube. In the menus, unpurchased gear will be light gray with a lock icon.) new amps (20 credits each): Fender ‘65 Princeton Reverb Fender ‘57 Champ Orange Tiny Terror Orange RockerVerb 50 Orange AD-30TC Soldano SLO 100 new cabs (5 credits each): Fender ‘65 Princeton 1x10" Open Fender ‘57 Champ 1x8" Open Orange 1x12" PPC 112 Orange 2x12" PPC 212 Orange 2x12" AD-30 new stomps (15 credits each): Filter > Nu-Tron III T-Rex > Moller T-Rex > Mudhoney T-Rex > Replica It would cost 205 credits to buy all the new gear. Giving yourself room to grow, you can buy 300 credits for $200 ($0.67/credit). You can use jam points on your credit purchase, saving as much as 50%.

I let the program install in Programs Files (x86), in my existing IK Multimedia folder, so the new version could easily find my legacy presets (Jimi Hendrix, etc.) During the install, you will also be allowed to select the paths for the 32-bit and 64-bit .dlls, which I pointed to my cakewalk\vst folders.

Duh!! The little Blue thingy isn't in the top left corner. 64 bit baby!! Looks like I need about 60 or so credits to get the new stuff I want...shoot. Also love how they "divide" the credits at 45. Just 5 shy for an amp AND a cabinet. They are devils, they are.

IK Obi ...its a FREE version of AmpliTube... http://www.ikmultimedia.com/amplitubefree Apparently the free version includes: 24 models including 9 stomps, 4 amps, 5 cabs, 3 mics, 2 rack effects. It's not clear. Are these included amps and cabs new and exclusive to AmpliTube 3, or are they duplicates of what is already in the old AmpliTubes (i.e. 2, JH, Fender, SVX and Metal)?

OK...here's another anomaly with the new 64bit A35. It won't load any of my Fender or SVX from the A3 "collections" menu. It says the presets aren't there. But I can load them directly from their separate programs. I believe this is due to a 32 bit 64 bit discrepancy. Oddly it doesn't even show my "Jimi Hendrix" program in the A35 drop downs. Again...I can load presets directly from the JH program but NOT through A35. I CAN however load all my "METAL" expander pack in A35. Weird. Hope they get this worked out as I like to mix and match cabs and stomps.

I downloaded and installed the Free version 3.5 and it is buggy. It won't recognize the Hi-Z input on my Cakewalk SPS-66. It will produce sound from the non-impedance adjustable left channel. This is in standalone mode. When I run it as a VST in X1b it produces sound but the controls (gain, tone, reverb, etc..) don't work! Did a complete uninstall, scrubbed my registry and reinstalled. Same difference. I have Amplitube 2 Live (paid copy) and it works like a charm both in standalone and VST mode. Anyone else having problems like this? I can't complain since it was free. Reminds me of the first release of X1.

I am looking forward to 64 Bit Amplitube and actually being able to save a preset when from it in Sonar 64 bit. With Bitbridge the save dialogue is hidden behind the GIU and Cntl+Alt+Del is the only way out. I am travellind for a few weeks so i hope the dust dies down by the time I come to install.
