The greatest surf tune you've never heard

At least, if you're not Australian and under 50.
Anyhow, this is my nomination for the title...feel free to add your own contenders.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I'm just using this as an excuse to post some Agent Orange.

Miserlou - Agent Orange

That's the whole album(s) sync'd to the timestamp of the tune I was thinking of.

Not my favorite band but definitely an insteresting (although unnecessarily treble-y) listen.

Kind of a good example of how east coast (US) surf rock influenced the punk/hardcore scene.

OG surf stuff is better but I wasn't alive then (and a child when AO tracked this lol) so I only know the tunes when I hear them. No idea about the obscure bands that created them.

Very interesting and powerful guit style though. I've gotten to see a few doods who could pull that stuff off live. One was the guit guy from Shadowy Men from a Shadowy planet (the guys who did the music for Kids In the Hall). He... and his new band... RIPPED!!! It was a little more jazzy/bluegrassy but it was still sonically delicious. What a great guit tone.

Slightly OT: Dominos pizza used to run an ad with surf music. My dog began to figure out that that sound meant pizza. I forget how but after all that, If I played something similar on my guitar my dog would start to growl like cool the pizza guy is coming.

Ever wonder where that style came from? Here's some proto-surf from New Mexico, c. 1959...
