Mrs. bayoubill found her guitar player husband hanging in his bedroom this morning. There was a note on his bed which read,
-‘I can’t take the critism anymore.’
Mrs. bayoubill quickly cut him down and managed to revive him. As bayoubill lay in her arms and slowly opened his eyes, she said,
-YEA bayou,"That’s not how you spell
"CRITICISM!"

And then something like this will happen...

IMHO, there are things far more important than electric guitars to worry about - consideration, good manners, grammar, culture, the ability to appreciate (and thus learn from) the works and experience of previous generations...

Admitting that human are still around, I hope that ten generations from now, they have not entirely lost touch with their humanity and that they're still able to read Sophocles and listen to Bach - and to be moved by them. Whatever musical instrument they use to express that humanity is irrelevant to me.

So long as I have my Les Paul and my Marshall for the rest of my life. :P

But you're not concerned about the death of acoustic drums?

I would be, in general, when considering that a good 3/4's of the drummers out there are simply doing the same thing with a nice little something every so often, to make it look like they are better drummers, than a metronome. Heck, even the snare drum is making it sound like a metronome, and it has been so for too many years, up to and including most metal and progressive things.

The day of taste/touch, and not just keeping track of time, which can be done UNDERNEATH all the music without you and I even knowing it, is long gone, and the Moon's, Bonzo's and Gadd, and the like are going, and almost gone, replaced by wannabe time keepers, whose fame and sales, are the only indicators as to how good they are. No one discusses the actual ability, because if that were the case, they would be also capable of listening to different drummers, and their work, and most simply can't. They don't like the music ... or some sillier excuse, to avoid listening to something interesting and different!

Sadly, most of them will not stand the test of time, and yes, will die out because of it.

In general, I don't think history cares about what you and I think, about this subject, and sometimes I think that some folks have this idea that if they buy and support it, that you can stretch that history an inch!

Love illusions! Just love illusions.

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!
