That's very nice David. I might back off the slap-back delay on the guitar a little (keep it but push it back a little). What guitar are you using here? I like the tone. Minimal piece, but it sounds complete.

Oh..lose the silence at the start, I haven't got all day..

I agree with jymez, that silence could be cut. If it's an album track that you're making space for, maybe make it at the end of the previous song instead. I feel like the bass gets out of balance at times during the track, but I do like the bass tone generally, is the linchpin of the song.

    Honestly, not really.
The guitar has a great tone (except for the echo). The rest of the instruments sound a bit artificial, especially the flute. However, overall the song used the theme quite well and was interesting.

The song is a metaphor for truth.  It's interesting that you say the artificial sounding instruments wreak the metaphor.  Do I have to have a british accent to read shakespeare?  j/k.  Thanks for listening!

I don't really care much for Shakespeare. However, it would be more "truthful" to be a accurate as possible, so a British accent would therefore be more honest. In philosophical terms though, one could read Shakespeare in any accent and it would be left to the individual so fabricate their own interpretation. But it's just not as good.
My feedback was based on the assumption that you were interested in the technical music aspects and not a philosophical viewpoint.

It's one of those tunes that grows on you as it goes on and I liked the tone of the guitar. The bass just adds that nice bit of glue to give its foundations.

Adrian, I'm not much of a bass player, at least a pissant compared to bapu (sarcasm)  Thanks for the observation.  I think the whole track sounds somewhat muted.  My songs seem to deteriorate the longer they're on soundcloud.  Strange days, indeed.

Good stuff! It's different, and you know what? I like it. Oddly refreshing and avante garde. Possibly early Pink Floyd (think Umma Gumma) frame work but more minimal. I will not belabor this post with production critiques because musically I think the pearl has been delivered.

I like it, David. I agree with there being a little to much delay on the guitar. Also, with cutting a little of the silence at the beginning.

Gerard,  I agree.  I was thinking David Lynch.  Thanks for listening!

I love it. The guitar tone, with the delay, I find very listenable. Perhaps the bass tone is too naked and uneffected by contrast. I know it's typically not done to put a small amount of reverb on the bass, but you might try that here, something in the small room category.

Unless you already put that on there? Try a Mid-size room?

The theme is simple and honest. Cool chords with that guitar. You've got a crunchy overlimit at 2:30 - I'd get that honesty out of there.  :)

Got lyrics? Put a waterfall behind it and you've got Rush's 2112!!!

    cheers,
    -Tom

Tom excellent observations about space and reverb.  Sometimes the carpets don't match the drapes with respect to that.

You're the first one to mention the clipping. Its awful. Some day I'll do a new and improved version.
