The view from my office

OK, it's not exactly an office, but it's where I work. As many of you know, I am a cable tech. This is a notoriously challenging area, but I really like being out of the city.

The white house to the right is our target.

This is where I need to connect the cable, from ground level.

Looking down the same pole.

My van.

Lake Worth, from my favorite vantage point, up in the trees.
Btw, that's not snow, it's ice.

Very cool Bob! I'm no good on ladders at that height, I'll happily go up in a cherry-picker or scissor lift though.

Seen a lot of that ice lately. I drove to Lubbock Tuesday and Wednesday and Arlington and Ft. Worth still had a lot of snow and ice on the roof tops and yards. Unheard of in Texas a week after it originally snowed. Today, we are finally supposed to stay above freezing.

I get dizzy walking up the three steps from the street to our front yard.

Fortunately for me, when I park in the driveway I at yard level.

I wouldn't do that either, James. I have the utmost respect for the guys that do tower work. They are a special breed. It's a bit rich for my blood.
At best, I only free climb 50'. This particular one is about 35'.
My wife is afraid of heights. She almost fainted just looking at these pictures.
