The year in pictures...

NY 2011

Montreal 2011

Madrid 2011

Moscow 2012

New York 2012

As you'll notice, all those cities look pretty much the same (except for Madrid, which has the worst food, desk and chair). ;)

Moscow wins the sweetest surprise award - we really felt a connexion w/ the people there (hockey and weather help establish that connexion I guess) and NY won us over instantly. It's home, here, really.

Seriously, it's all been so much fun and an amazing year. But as we get closer to the end of the tour, I can't wait to go back to a real mixing environment w/ proper room treatment and accurate monitors, start cutting vocals for the songs (and to start investing in hardware again instead of just assuming my GAS through plug-ins and libraries.)

A month and a half to go...

    What an interesting year!

By next weekend I will have been on the road for 3 weeks and I'm already ready to go home.

I could do a series of images, one per month, covering two years (at least).

But who wants to see the same picture 24+ times?

    Thanks for sharing Rain.

Why are all your avatars flipped so it looks like you're a lefty?

Those sure look like righty geetars in the last pic.

@ Janet - I felt the same after one day in Madrid. ;) But Moscow and NY are so nice that it more than makes up for the hassle. And this summer in particular, NY is as good as it gets. We have a real fridge, an oven, washer and dryer, the cats are w/ us - and my set up isn't in the bedroom, which is already a huge leap ahead...

@CraigB - my traveller days are numbered. You know, I was thinking I have one regret - not to have seen China and Japan. I could put up w/ a few more months on the road if we'd end up in Tokyo or Osaka or maybe just a mountain top in China.

@Steve - Yep - it's her on all pics where you actually see the desktop.

I'd be sincerely interested in hearing some more about your year and travels.
When you have spare time, what about writing some short anecdotes...

Funny how doing with so little makes the simple things (frig, oven, setup somewhere besides the bedroom), seem so cool!  :)

I thought you told us she's an opera singer.  She sure doesn't look like an opera singer.

She's both a trained opera singer AND a genuine rocker. But at any rate, it's hard to believe that such a voice can come out of a little tiny 5'1" woman.
