There is no record to display...
I get this not infrequently when coming to this forum or trying to refresh pages. It's not specific to any one of my machines. What...exactly...is happening or making this occur?? Anyone know?

Forum response has been dragging off and on here for several days. Amazon hosting issues, maybe? I know they host Cakewalk's downloads. Do they host the forum as well?

yorolpal I get this not infrequently when coming to this forum or trying to refresh pages. It's not specific to any one of my machines. What...exactly...is happening or making this occur?? Anyone know? I get that pretty frequently too, and usually removing all the 'cakewalk' cookies from FF solves it, but not always. If I log out when I get that message I can (again, usually) see all the threads, but of course I can't find my place in any of them so it's not really worth it to me. -Susan

I did that here with Chrome as well. That did not help. But I did notice one weird thing here..if I just clicked the forum I wanted I would get either 'runtime error' or the 'nothing here to display' tag...but...if I held the button down for a short duration it would go right to the next page or whatever....

I haven't received this in a while. But I usually just hit "Refresh" and everything comes up. Sometimes I have to hit the favorites link a couple of times in IE8.

Even my refresh doesn't always work. It just crops up now and again. It is very frustrating.

I have had this happen lately too. No other forum seems to suffer from this behavior.

Yea...that's my experience too John, ol pal. This is the only forum that experience any kind of sketchyness on. Sorry to say.

yorolpal Yea...that's my experience too John, ol pal. This is the only forum that experience any kind of sketchyness on. Sorry to say. No doubt any minute now me old mate John T will pop in and tell us: - that we're all imagining it
- that it's never happened to him
- that this is the wrong place to talk about it
- that we shouldn't be talking about it at all
- that he doesn't understand why we'd want to talk about it anyway - there's probably a telephone/e-mail related workaround
- that if we do want to talk about it, we should submit a 'no record to display' report using the appropriate official channels
- that we still shouldn't talk about it, and this is the exactly the sort of 'talking about things' behaviour that spoils this forum for everyone else....
.... who, er...... um...... can't actually get on the forum and use it because there is no record to display (<< irony) Only kidding John T - I know you're a man who appreciates a good belly laugh/touch of levity

I'm pretty sure that whatever it is - it's a problem with X1. Never happened while I was using 8.5.

Yeah, I get this sometimes too. So obviously happening all over the world, so some server load type thing, I guess.

This I used to get whenever I tried to get onto cs.trains.com's forum pages. And no matter what you did it just would not go away..this sometimes would be for hours..even days at a time too...then it stopped happening...just weird
