There's too many deals!!

It's killing me. I want a bunch of things and they're all going on sale this week. It's the whole 2012 disaster we were warned about. How do you choose which silver bullet to buy? When do you pull the trigger? How long before the ultimate deal comes up?

These black days, weeks, months, have everyone pulling out the stops. Cakewalk is making a mistake (IMO) buy not giving a little more info on the upcoming deals. If I new the PC2A was going to go on sale this week I wouldn't buy the compressor bundle from NI, and so on.

Happy hunting guys and gals, hope you get your trophy.

Regards, John

I think I prepared adequately - I've spent so much time evaluating plug-ins against those which I already own that I've narrowed down my wish list to very very few items.

McDSP's Compact Channel G - I passed on the sale a few weeks ago, but I'll need that one.
Waves JJP Classics - to complement my CLA compressors. :)

In the future - Waves SSL and a couple of other McDSP plugs like Filterbank.

The thing that might be dangerous - Waves are announcing their "biggest sale ever".

Fortunately - or unfortunately - I'm more interested in a few pieces of hardware these days, and even w/ the sales, it's unlikely that they'd fit my budget at this time.

Experience tells me to stretch oneself. I do regret not taking myself to the limit when a few things came up a few years ago. Those items have never gone close to that price. grrr.

Some companies do regular sales so you can maybe wait on them to come around again. I tend to buy when it's there on sale. It could be a long wait otherwise.

As always, I sing the praises of secondhand. It's the way to go.

I am going to walk in to SPI on black friday and buy as much 8lbs/cu. ft as I can fit in the van and still have room for Go-Go.

I've been looking forward to it for months.

I waiting for this one. Could be the opportunity to grab that SSL, which would probably be my priority in case of an insane deal because it's just too expensive the rest of the time.

IK obi, you lot *REALLY* undercut your products quite quickly.. to a point where I'm not buying them straight away any more now as there isn't enough of a gap between first release / de-valued.

One thing I know for sure...I can't afford it...unless it's only a few dollars more then the One Knob Louder...=P

IK Obi - I think announcing HUGE releases often generates disappointment (or sarcastic remarks) on the basis that people seem to be expecting something other than another bunch of amp models for Amplitube or an signature Amplitube product like AT Slash.

And most certainly not another iProducts, as I'm sure you've noticed. ;)

W/ that out of the way, now that we know that Sampletank 3 won't be here before 2013, and considering that ARC 2 just came out, this probably leaves people expecting either an update for CSR or new singles for T-Racks.

    Or a new product, altogether.

Well, I say expecting, but I should say that that's more something many might consider HUGE.

    Just an observation.

I see Waves has the CLA comp package on for $149. NI has their 3 pack of comps on for $115. I wish I knew something about Waves, like if there's ilock requirements. I know the quality is supposed to be very good. What to do?!?!?!?!?

I consider these to be HUGE deals.

I've got something better!!   A $30 early adopter credit, because I bought D-Cam Dynamic's within days of its release..   I'm just waiting a few hours, to go and pick up a check..   And then, "Boom!"  My synthesizer collection will be complete...   Erm, sans an Access Virus, which I simply, "do not have the money for."

But thank you, for looking out

Cheers. I haven't seen anywhere saying it's longer. Some stores do drag their heels and the sales go on a day or two but that's a risk! I'm assessing everything available. There's a quite a lot of goodies from everyone.
