There's 2 hours I won't get back.

Since I installed X2 I've been remixing old stuff. I haven't delved in to recording.

Been using Reaper for recording the last week, not a single problem.

Decided to try X2 for recording.

Forgot to set up Auto-Save since I was only using it for re-mixing existing projects previously and didn't think about it.

Lost 2 hours of work on an instrumental I've been working on because Sonar crashed hard.

I am so pissed off right now, I can't even say anything bad. I have so many horrible words clambering to get out that they can't squeeze through the opening in my brain that allows me to let such things come through. There's a bottleneck at the door that's jammed it shut.

Please, don't say anything. I know it's my fault. But damn ... 5 days of 6~8 hour sessions in Reaper ... not one crash (well, I had one, but it fixed itself in 10 seconds *see other thread*).

...................................................

I was recording ... suddenly the track I was recording on made an extremely loud snapping noise, I looked at the Console EMU and it's needles were pegged in the red and no sound would come out when I played the project. At that point I should have saved, but I didn't. I click the 'off' button on the EMU and got the WSOD.

Ok, the bottleneck has cleared and something is starting to come through.

I better go.

I know you said not to, but, I feel your pain...

By the time you got the EMU glitch, I doubt you could have saved it anyway. Damage had been done.

...and that's a great way to describe the process of RAGE. I'm puttng it in my book of things to remember. If it's OK with you, that is.

    Thanks Bub!

The waves are still there somewhere if that makes a difference. But then there's the whole lining them up thing.
    But yea, it all sucks.

I really don't understand why folks want to dick around with X1,2 if 8.53 worked OK for them.

Bub, you've been having nightmares with the new X series since it was released. Do you enjoy pain?

That's a good point. I never think to look in the audio folder to see what's there after an audio clip disaster.

Could be just a matter of reinserting the file and starting over.
