Things that defy Rationality!!

A recent thread got me to thinking...always a dangerous thing...about things that exist that don't seem to have any plausible reason for existing...and I'm not just talking about male nipples here...but anything you can come up with that by all sensibilities should just not exist.

I'll start: Mosquitos

Red bugs...known down here in the South as Chiggers.

Poison Ivy.

Where you come from is gone...where you thought you were goin to weren't never there...and where you are ain't no good unless you can get away from it.

Poison Ivy, yeah. And those stinkin' vines with the little black tipped spikes that seem to engulf anything around them. They seem to thrive in many of the places I need to be. I have learned to really not like them.
And my personal favorite, braille keypads on drive-up ATM's.

OK, know that makes sense.  I originally thought he was referring to the Coaster's song Poison Ivy.  Great tune by the way, I played it last year at a big Cub Scout family event (get it, poison ivy ... camping).

Everything is rational, for something to be irrational and exist just means we don't understand it yet.

And why did Noah go to the trouble of getting some chiggers for the Ark? Couldn't he have just overlooked them, along with intestinal parasites? Nobody would have complained.
