Think I'm becoming addicted to buying plants

My whole life I've always been resoundingly "meh" about house plants. And so I've never had any in the apartment, despite being told countless times "you could use a few plants in here."

Recently I read an article about the fresh air benefits of having a lot of plants around, and that got to thinking that maybe the air in my little NYC hovel isn't so good, and so I've started filling the place with plants. Bromeliads & snake plants to start with, given that they seem to be highly rated for removing VOC's from the air and giving off oxygen at night. I might put another shelf up and fill it with spider plants too. What a difference it makes to the feel of the place though! I smile every time I come in and feel better already. I wonder if they'll do anything for my creativity.

Here's one of my snake plants. I think it'll grow out of this pot soon enough. I like how it sets off my Telecaster. Please excuse the girlfriend's fluffy pink slippers

There's definitely a few plants in here, that's for sure!

And are you kidding? My size 11 6E slabs of ham wouldn't even half get in those...

It's been a very long time since I wasted everyone's time with a boring copycat fred title...

But I sooooooooo want to start one entitled "Think I'm becoming addicted to buying pants" right now

On a more serious note, I have cacti in the house. Mainly because they require so little maintenance.

Instructions for looking after your new cactus:
  1. Water once every six years

Well, with cacti around the home, I can see why you'd want to wear pants and why you might have to buy several pairs...

I shouldn't have plants because I just manage to kill them...

I moved from Southern California because I can't stand desert (so cacti are out).  That said, I've been known to even kill off those somehow!
