I am looking for the best value, I have an Edirol UA4FX that came with Sonar 4 LE, but the disk is bad.

I also have an M-Audio Black Box and I don't remember what it came with, I think the same thing, would not load on Vista or Win 7 64-bit

I built a new PC with Windows 7 64-bit Pro, which has compatibility modes.

I record guitar and vocals, plus I bought an Alesis QX49 that I can't get to work. I need to configure something, but support for Alesis and Ableton each point to the other.

So...I thought if I buy a bundle "solution" or hardware that came with MIDI support, then I would have one point of contact for support.

I was using Adobe Audition, but it has been difficult with my hardware. I don't know how to configure MIDI in it. So I thought that Guitar Tracks Pro looks awesome! So I looked at 2 different Audio IO devices, one bundled with Sonar IIRC, and the other with Guitar Tracks Pro. There are also 2 MIDI interfaces, and I don't know what they come with.

    SO, requirements:

    Windows 7 64-bit
MIDI support for Alesis QX49, including VST instrument or an alternative, so I can get audio from it.

Within the Cakewalk hardware USB bundles, which works best? If I use Sonar LE instead of Guitar Tracks, what to I gain and what do I lose?

    Thanks!

OK, how about this question; does training for X1 products also related to LE or is the interface different? I saw the distinctions between X1 Essential, Studio and Producer, which I studied very closely, I currently own Guitar Tracks Pro 4 and Sonar X1 LE, neither of which I can use properly. I have too much experience and my expectations lead me to processes which are not valid in Cakewalk (at least the products I have).

My big question is probably simple but means a whole world of difference.

I have Sonar 8.5 LE (or is it Sonar LE 8.5?) Makes a big difference when it comes time to Upgrade... a $200 difference.

Is it possible to upgrade from LE to X1 Producer? I see some companies bundling X1 LE + Producer Upgrade + the Quad Capture Digital Audio Interface.

    Is this legit?
