This does answer the question...

The new upgraded intelligent home/security system DOES get triggered and take pictures every time a cat moves anywhere near.

The incessant notifications get old quickly, but it's tons of fun to use my cell phone to activate the camera and speaker and interact with the cats outside. Gisèle Talbot who was busy grooming on the porch and constantly triggering the system this afternoon seemed quite surprised when she heard my voice over the intercom...

Now you just need remote-controlled laser pointers!

I found that I can even use one from a distance and drive my neighbor's cat crazy.

I remember when the police in Los Angeles had problems with their cars being stolen after they put 911 on the sides.  The stupid gang members thought they were getting Porches.

Here's our new security alarm. Titan.

Of course he has very serious backup. If he starts, I'll finish.
It took my family a couple of years to get over a loss of the same breed.

Our house is surrounded by friends that are retired so our neighborhood is never vacant and living in a town where 130 residents vote for mayor on a great turnout...fire/lightning strikes/tornadoes...lot's of other stuff that can hurt and try to be prepared for.

We have these - but they're pretty useless to be honest. The worst they could do if someone entered the house would be to get all excited and pee on the floor.

They're more my wife's pets. I'll stick with cats or big, less needy dogs if I ever have the opportunity.

Fortunately, we live in a rather quiet neighbourhood and we're surrounded by very friendly people, a lot of them retired. The lady next door is a former vet tech and 3 of our cats spend all their time in her back yard - she spoils them rotten. And us too. She always brings us turkey and ham for Thanksgiving and little cakes for Christmas. The loveliest neighbour I've ever had.

Carrera for me!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

lol...yeah. More of an early warning system I guess.

Sounds like we lucked out in the neighborhoods. Nothing like having good neighbors.
